Why India is a Famous Tourist Destination for Globetrotters

Wondering why India is a famous tourist destination, the answer is magic! Despite dark pollution and chaotic population, India, deep inside, still sings the mysterious refrains of ancient wonder. In here, eventually you figure the mystique of soul, pure beauty, and a rustic glory of being who you are. The country is a great house of heritage, and there is really an endless list of places to visit in India. Almost all major places to visit have their share of legends and myths!Besides the temples, forts, mosques, museums, and old architecture, you can also discover extraordinary natural beauty in this land of old. From the majestic silence of snowy Himalayas to turbulent serenity of Kanyakumari, the journey is enthralling! It is not merely a travel experience, but a trip to being who you are.

Consult the Map
You would need to set a plan. Set a suitable itinerary, but also be flexible into making last minute changes, if you need. What happens is that you may not be immediately aware of a destination which is close to the place you visit. However, when you get there, and get to know about the nearby attraction, you don’t think you can afford to miss it!You planned to visit the marble dream of Taj Mahal, but did you plan Fatehpur Sikri? This abandoned Mughal City is only a few kilometer from Agra and is a magnificently desolate destination. There would be many such moments in exploring India as a tourist destination. Every town in Rajasthan or Madhya Pradesh or every hilly hamlet of Himachal has something magical to offer. You may not always find it in the map!

Decide Your Experience

First decide on the type of experience you seek to explore. Do you want to feel the forests or the mountains? Do you want to enjoy peaceful music of the villages or the humdrum of metros? Are you interested in exploring the ancient temples of Konarak, Madurai, Banaras, Bengal, or Madhya Pradesh? Is your interest focused only in the British heritage of India?Do you know that besides the British, Indian culture preserves the remnants of French, Dutch, Portuguese, and the Spanish? Consider setting aside an entire trip only to visit the magic of rustic Rajasthan! Places like Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Pushkar, and Alwar immediately transports you to a land of royal fables. You can also explore the cultural amazement of Buddhism, Jainism, the Shikhs, Jews, and the Parsees! Maybe, you simply want to feel the amazing natural beauty of Kashmir, Himachal, and Ladakh! The North Eastern states are rarely explored relatively, but they are also extraordinary places to travel. Take your time, consult standard lists of top ten tourist attractions in India and set up a stellar exploration route.

Practical Concerns

Unfortunately, the chaotic nature of India invites many practical concerns for foreign tourists. Although it would have been amazing if everything was perfect and without worries, yet real life comes short of fantasies. The ethereal beauty of Kashmir crowns it as the Heaven on earth, but today’s heaven is steadily held ransom by gravest political concerns between neighboring countries. Similarly, the dense natural beauty of the North East stands short of exploration because there is always the fear of night curfews and militant abductions.

In some places, the situation may not be as tense, but then again you always find disturbing elements from locals, letting their poverty to be an excuse for being pathetic souls! They may either try to cheat you or ogle you as you try to find a quiet corner in the Goa beach! Once you are mentally ready to meet such concerns, and sure that the disturbances won’t affect you, India is a most amazing place! Remember that, there would be always some people who would help you, and always some who would not. Just be careful of the difference.
